Many of you are familiar with my figurative painting efforts, and a small number may have been recently tortured with my horrible landscape and plein air attempts, but did you know I'm a World Class doodler?! You keep me hangin' on a long boring phone conversation and I've probably filled a few pages of doodles. Back when I was in school, every thing near me fell victim to my doodles (folders, books, desk tops..)
Tonight's lengthy meeting resulted in this doodle...
...Wifey and I went on a road trip this weekend and I couldn't sleep for shit. So, rather than bother her Hotel slumber, I went down to the car, listened to some podcast and doodled this (why waiting on the sun to rise and the breakfast buffet to open)...

New Follower Folder!
I got a new sketchbook about a year ago and faithfully filled it with drawings, doodles, experiments, etc. I've moved on to sketchbook number 2 now and it's equally as goofy. I've always enjoyed drawing in procreate on my ipad. so, I've included a lot of those drawings along with the sketchbook ones in this new folder. If you you have any specific questions about mediums or brush-packs or the models on a particular drawing ask away! My Sketchbook and ipad are a fun way to create when I'm away from my easel. It's not about making something good to show or sell. It's about having fun making art ya know? I love making things that people can hang on their walls, but many of these unpublished drawings are my favorite creations. I share them weekly on Instagram in a story or Reel, but I thought I'd give them a more permanent residence here. Like, Share, and Follow if you want to see more of these low-key sketches. lol

get no argument from me. I' m a writer and I 'doodle' too. paragraphs to short short stories not completed. Haiku and other poems. drove my supervisor nuts when I would quote most of what the meeting was about then show him my writings. I did mine in pencil not to erase and correct but I like the flow of pencil. I can relate to doodle. Give me a pencil anytime...
